Description

The Sierra 18-7911-1 is a marine aftermarket spin-on oil filter for four-stroke outboards, crossing to the small-frame Yamaha filter.

Why it matters

Engine oil picks up combustion soot and fine metal wear particles, and the oil filter is what keeps them out of the bearings, journals and turbocharger. Fitting the correct filter means the bypass valve opens at the pressure the engine was designed for.
